In this case study, learn how a consistent, intuitive technology experience helps McKnight's new headquarters serve employees, grantees, and thousands of community guests.
When the McKnight Foundation moved into its new headquarters, it had an opportunity to leave behind the patchwork of legacy technology from its previous location. The new space needed reliable, consistent technology that would work seamlessly for employees and visiting community members, from small huddle rooms to the boardroom.
Workplace Collaboration / AV Integration
The McKnight Foundation / FORTÉ relationship began when McKnight's team visited FORTÉ’s Customer Experience Center in Minneapolis. The team explored technology options firsthand and got a better understanding of FORTÉ’s approach. FORTÉ's experts then worked alongside McKnight and its architectural team early in the design process, establishing a technology standard that could scale across spaces while maintaining a familiar user experience.
“Working alongside the construction team meant we could integrate the technology into the space, rather than simply trying to fit it in later.” Lizzy Wolterman, Account Executive, FORTÉ
In the year since opening, McKnight has welcomed more than 3,000 guests who have used the technology with ease. Users can now walk into a room confident the technology will work, without worrying about technical issues causing delays or forcing a meeting to relocate.
“We can now say this is a true hybrid workplace with solid technology allowing us to do our mission-driven work.” Anthony Lusiba, Enterprise Technology Leader, McKnight Foundation
